Amanda Pluntze
Amanda is a chemist by training and has worked in pharmaceutical formulation research and development since 2014. Being a firm believer that art and science are complimentary, she enjoys coming up with creative visuals and analogies to communicate technical subjects to audiences both inside and outside of the scientific community.
Justice Morath
Justice is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Salt Lake Community College and co-founder of the Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, and Math outreach organization STEAMpunk Academy. His passion is in community education and finding unique ways to engage people in science as far away from the Ivory Tower as possible.
Artists
Manasi Pethe
Dr. Manasi Pethe is a protein engineer and data scientist at Bayer Crop Science. Manasi has always struggled to choose between art and science since they are perceived as being so vastly different. Through her SciArt venture, PethDoodles, Manasi hopes to bridge this gap and draw out all the parallels that these two beautiful fields offer.
Ricky Vigil
Ricky is a cartoonist from Salt Lake City, Utah. He has been self-publishing the autobiographical comic zine Super Cool and Stuff since 2011. His work has also appeared in SLUG Magazine, City Weekly, Razorcake and Bearded Gentlemen Music. By day, Ricky runs an after school program, which is really just an excuse to talk about video games and comics with teenagers.
Danielle Mariano
Danielle is a graduate of University of California Irvine with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. After graduating in 2017 Danielle has continued to pursue her passion for the arts through costuming, prop making, and digital art in her free time. Her projects are a personal passion that she hopes to turn into a career in the future. See more of Danielle’s work on her instagram.
